Advice centres in Loughshore

THERE are a number of advice centres and a fun event arranged in the Loughshore area.

Activities for children and minders on offer every Thursday morning at the new Loughshore carer and toddler group in the Sarsfield Centre, Derrytrasna, from 9.30am until 11.30am.

The Benefits Entitlement Unit and Warmers Homes will be available for free, confidential, one-to-one advice on Monday, February 25, from 2pm to 5pm. Bookings by appointment. Contact Louise on 3831

The Loughshore Farm Family Health and Safety Event is on Tuesday, March 5, from 7pm to 10pm in the Meadows Equestrian Centre, Kinnego.

Free security tagging of tractors, trailers, and machinery is available from the PSNI. There will be information and talks on farm safety, education opportunities etc.

Bookings now been taken for free, confidential health checks (men and women) on 3831 7898. Book now to avoid disappointment.

The next men’s health fair will take place on Saturday, February 23, from 1am to 3pm at St. Patrick’s Primary School, Derrymacash.

The free Easter Eggstavaganza Family Walk is on Thursday, April 11, at Lough Neagh Discovery Centre.

It is followed by fun arts and crafts workshop in the Discovery Centre from 11am to 1pm. Fancy dress is optional and bookings are now being taken by Louise on 3831 7898.
