ALZHEIMER’S Society have thanked Pat O’Hagan (organiser) and people from the Lurgan area for raising £2,383.50 through a ‘Holding A Memory’ walk and dance.

The money will go towards much-needed services within Northern Ireland to support both people with dementia and their carers.

Meanwhile the last session of Alzheimer’s Society Carers Information and Education Programme in partnership with the Southern Health and Social Care Trust Memory Team will run next Tuesday (November 6) at the Jethro Centre from 7.30pm to 9.15pm.

The speaker will be Cathy Mahwhinney Head of Dementia Services at the trust, who will be speaking on ‘Dealing with Behaviours that are Challenging’.

Refreshments will be served and there will be information to take home.
