A MISSING dog knocked down in William Street has been reunited with its owner.
The Jack Russell was knocked down in a hit and run incident close to the railway tracks on Monday.
Perfect Day owner Bernie O’Neill, along with Danielle McConville from the Railway Bar and another passer-by, came to the dog’s aid after witnessing the incident.
The ‘MAIL’ learned on Tuesday the dog was with Paddy Murray’s vets surgery in William Street while Bernie launched on appeal on Facebook to find the dog’s owner.
Bernie said on Tuesday afternoon: “I’ve been at the vets twice checking on the wee pet.
“Nothing is broken and he’s doing well though he’s shaking like a leaf.”
Late on Tuesday night Bernie revealed it looked as though she had found the owner of the dog.
“Thanks to all those who shared it,” she said. “Facebook rocks!”
