Revisit the wartime era at Mourneview

RESIDENTS in the Lurgan area are being invited to help build a very personal picture and share their memories in an exhibition giving a fascinating insight into life in the town during the 1940s and 50s.

Come along to Craigavon Borough Council’s Mourneview Community Centre on Saturday, March 9 from 11am to 3pm, for an afternoon of nostalgia sure to bring back warm memories.

The exhibition will have vintage items on display including photographs, clothing and other memorabilia from the wartime era. There will also include refreshments from the time, bringing back memories for many locals of the days of cinemas, dance halls and theatres at the height of their popularity.

Any residents who would like to include their favourite memories, photographs and/or objects, from the era to be featured in the display, please contact Mourneview Community Centre on 38 326020.
