Deaths in the community December 30, 2009 to January 4, 2010

Patrick Haughian

The death took place on December 30 peacefully in Wicklow of Patrick (Pat) Haughian, formerly of Lurgan.

He was the son of the late John and Lily Haughian, 17 Silverwood Drive, Lurgan, and brother of Joe, Gerald, Madge, Sheila, Fergus, Benny, Anna and Pauline.

His funeral was on Sunday to St Bridget's Church, Manor Kilbride, Wicklow, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

John Cushnie

The death took place suddenly on December 31 of John Cushnie, formerly of Lurgan.

He was the husband of Wilma and father of Simon, Richard and Laura.

His funeral was on Sunday to Down Cathedral, Downpatrick, followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Samuel McNally

The death took place peacefully at his home on December 31 of Samuel (Sam) McNally, 107 Gilford Road, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Cathy, father of Lisa and Emma and brother of Melba and Kenneth.

His funeral service was on Wednesday at Roselawn Crematorium.

John William Blakeley

The death took place on December 31 at his home in Moira of John William Blakeley.

He was the husband of Sharon and father of Laura and James.

His funeral was on Tuesday to Moira Presbyterian Church followed by interment in Lisburn New Cemetery, Blaris Extension.

John O'Loan

The death took place on January 1 peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital of John O'Loan, husband of Sarah, 4 Glenravel Drive, Lurgan.

He was the father of Conor, Barry, Kevin and Catherine.

His funeral was on Monday to St Peter's Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery.

William Hamilton

The death took place peacefully at Newry Hospice on January 2 of William (Billy) Hamilton, Gilpinstown, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Molly and father of Ian, Sam and Sharon.

His funeral service was on Tuesday in Malcomson's Funeral Home followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Eleanor Scott

The death took place peacefully at hospital on January 4 of Eleanor Scott, 31 Cambrai Drive, Waringstown.

She was the wife of the late Cecil and mother of Raymond, Brenda, Gretta, Cecil, Yvonne and Ian.

Her funeral is today (Thursday) from her home to Drumbo Presbyterian burying ground.

Frances Henderson

The death took place on January 4 of Frances Henderson, Portadown, and formerly of Castle Lane and Kilwilke, Lurgan.

She was the wife of Kevin, mother of Martin, Paul and Sharon and daughter of Mary.

Margaret McConville

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on January 4 of Margaret McConville (nee Creaney), 7 Drumnamoe Gardens, Lurgan.

She was the wife of the late William and mother of Seamus, Liam, Aidan, Cathal and the late David.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to St Peter's Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery.
