Deaths in the community for the period June 16 to June 21, 2009

Alice Greene

The death took place peacefully at home on June 16 of Alice Greene, nee Daly, 159 Plantation Road, Gilford.

She was the wife of the late Joe amd mother of Sean, Greg, Marie, Joan, Patricia and Linda.

Her funeral was on Saturday to St Colman's Church, The Clare, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Kennedy

The death took place on June 16 at St Joseph's Nursing Home, Warrenpoint, of Mary Kennedy, daughter of the late Patrick and Jeanie, 5 Ashgrove Avenue, Lurgan.

She was the sister of Des, Patricia and John.

Her funeral was on Friday to St Peter's Church followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery.

Joseph McConville

The death took place suddenly at home on June 17 of Joseph McConville, son of the late Edward and Margaret, 19 Thornleigh, Lurgan, and formerly of Brown Street.

He was the brother of Patrick, Edward, Angela and the late Margaret.

His funeral was on Saturday to St Paul's Church followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery.

Anne O'Hara

The death took place peacefully at hospital on June 17 of Annie (Nan) O'Hara, nee McDonnell, 60 Francis Street, Lurgan, and formerly of Newtownhamilton.

She was the wife of the late Mick and mother of Paul, Kevin, Catherine, Michelle, Ann and the late Michael and Donnell.

His funeral was on Saturday to St Paul's Church followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery.

Mary Caroline McCartney

The death took place on June 18 at hospital of Mary Caroline McCartney, 3 Castlevue Park, Moira.

She was the mother of Adam, Tiera, Joshua and Leah and the daughter of Harold and the late Sally.

Her funeral was on Saturday to Moira Parish Church followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Brian Magee

The death took place on June 19 at Craigavon Area Hospital of Brian Magee, 14 Brownlow Terrace, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Mary and father of Brian, Gina, Steven and Richard.

His funeral was on Monday to St Peter's Church followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery.

Jean Dougherty

The death took place peacefully on June 20 at hospital of Jean Dougherty, wife of Billy and mother of Michael and Lynn, late of Greenhill Park, Lurgan.

Her funeral was on Monday from Malcolmson's Funeral House to Lurgan Cemetery.

Kenneth James Somerville

The death took place peacefully on June 20 at Daisy Hill Hospital of Kenneth James (Ken) Somerville, late of Sandhill Park, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Dorothy and father oif Mark and Lynne.

His funeral was on Monday to Queen Street Methodist Church followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Thomas Francis Devlin

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on June 21 of Thomas Francis Devlin, 21 Carrigart, Craigavon.

He was the husband of Kathleen and father of Pat, Carol, Kitty, Geraldine, Thomas, Danny, Paul and Simon.

His funeral was on Wednesday to St Anthony's Church followed by interment in St John's Cemetery, Lylo.

Martin McDonald

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on June 19 of Martin McDonald, 8 Wynnehill, Hill Street, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Donna and father of Tara, Orlagh and Grainne.

His funeral was on Monday to St Paul’s Church followed by interment in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Derrymacash.
