Deaths in the community for the period May 27 to June 1, 2009

Richard Maxwell

The death took place peacefully at home on May 27 of Richard (Dickie) Maxwell, of 32 Upper Toberhewny Lane, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Edna and father of Peter and Helen.

His funeral was on Friday to High Street Methodist Church followed by a private cremation.

Cassie Cordner

The death took place peacefully at hospital on May 29 of Cassie Cordner, late of Mountfield Private Nursing Home.

She was the wife of the late Thomas and mother of David, Rita, Aldrick, Lois and Errol.

Her funeral was on Sunday from her home, 69 Banbridge Road, Lurgan, to Shankill Parish Church followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

William Albert Toner

The death took place peacefully at hospital on May 29 of Williiam Albert (Billy) Toner, late of Union Street, Lurgan.

He was the father of Andrea and brother of Sheila, Muriel, Jean, Noel and the late Wilson.

His funeral service was on Wednesday at Roselawn Crematorium.

Florence Hawthorne

The death took place peacefully on June 1 at Laganvale Nursing home of Florence (Florrie) Hawthorne, formerly of Milltown Road, Donaghcloney.

She was the wife of the late Tommy and mother of Linda.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to Waringstown Presbyterian Church followed by interment in the adjoining burying ground.
