Elizabeth back as President

WARINGSTOWN WI President Elizabeth Quigg welcomed members and gave a resumé of the year's events.

As well as enjoying interesting speakers at every meeting folk had also done well in competitions and events run by Federation, in particular Brenda Brown, Joan Smith, Jean Sturgeon, and Joan Whale.

Satisfactory reports were given by the club treasurer, Ann Stewart, and secretary, Pat Gordon. Membership had increased.

The meeting was then handed over to Anne Young, the area representative, and elections took place. The tellers were from Anne’s club of Crosskelt.

To everyone’s delight Elizabeth was re-elected President. Thanking the members for their confidence Elizabeth distributed the club silverware! The competitions’ winner was Norma Brooker.

The birthday girl for June was Elizabeth Walker. Elizabeth wished everyone a happy summer and closed the meeting.
