MOYRAVERTY Arts and Drama Society is one of the first drama groups in Ireland to receive the copyrights from Josef Weinberger Limited to perform Boogie Nights The 70s Musical.
This show will have six performances over two weekends in November and will feature all the senior and older teenage members of the drama society.

Linda May Martin will be the choreographer, Michael McAleenan and Kieran Corr will direct the show, with Jonathan McGuinness as musical director.

Steven Towe and his team will be in charge of building the set for this production.

Boogie Nights The 70s Musical has got nothing to do with the film called 'Boogie Nights' but instead is based on the culture in the 1970s. It tells the heart-warming story of Roddy O'Neil, his friends, their lives, loves and experience of growing up in the disco decade.

The backdrop to their story has over 30 1970’s classic hits including We are Family, Celebration, YMCA, Disco Inferno, I Will Survive, Play That Funky Music, Boogie Wonderland, Enough Is Enough and many, many more!

The main vocals will be from Nicola O’Hara who has just finished performing as Maria in West Side Story, Daniel May will perform as Roddy, with Fiona Chamley as Trish, Aine McCann as Mandy, Aaron Murphy as Terry, Stephen Lynch as Dean and David Murphy as Eamon. Thomas Larkham will be back on stage as 'Spensor' the lead singer in the band. Tammy Sharpe just fresh from performing as Nancy in Oliver will perform as Debs the love interest of Roddy.

Tickets for the show are on sale from St Anthony's Centre, and Print Business Supplies, North Street, Lurgan. The Box Office number is 3834 8828.

The Friday, November 21 performance at 8pm is the concessions night with all tickets priced at £5.

The Saturday, November 22 show 8.45pm is the corporate night in which all tickets will be priced at £10 this will include a light supper, wine reception and is for over 18s only with limited number of seats available.
