LURGAN based folk-rock band MojoKelt have a very interesting time ahead of them in the next few weeks.
As well as appearing at a UNIFEM fund raising concert on Saturday, October 4 they have been asked to supply music for an American film about Irish immigrants called 'Beantown'.

Director Tim Norman said: "I'm beginning to work on the soundtrack and
as a huge fan of Celtic rock I decided to approach MojoKelt, who I found through Myspace and really enjoy listening to."

They will be sending their new recordings to America along with some music recorded especially for the movie.

Tom Watson, bass player with MojoKelt said: "It's interesting and challenging for MojoKelt to be involved in Tim's project. We're very much looking forward to hearing how our music will be used with the images on screen."

The band have been hard at work in the studio in recent weeks and have supplied one of their new songs for a UNIFEM charity CD.

The UMIFEM CD will be launched at a special fund raising concert where many artists will be performing their music to raise funds for UNIFEM, the United Nations Development Fund for Women.

Tickets can be obtained for the UNIFEM performances from the Theatre Box office 9084 8287 or by email courtyardtheatre@newtownabbey.gov.uk
