THE line up for this year's Waterfront summer festival will feature some of the cream of emerging contemporary music from across the UK.
In association with Tiger Beer, trans ‘08 is Belfast’s ‘credit crunch’ festival, with tickets for most events costing less than a tenner and some free of charge.

Running from July 14 to August 10, trans will feature many pioneering and world class
artists.

Signature events include a unique One Man Star Wars Trilogy performance, the sauciness of the Burlesque Summer Extravaganza, the return of the legendary Lap Off, Money Back Guarantee and the Urban Market.

Further trans highlights include Los Campesinos!, Lisa Hannigan, DJ Food, Andy Weatherall and the controlled chaos of the live drawing event.

Indie Takeaway, Speaker`s Corner, Record Swap Shop and Live at the Dome are among some of the new signature events taking place.

Complementing the programme of audio-visual delights will be a series of free lunchtime and evening seminars, workshops and master classes covering areas such as social economy, podcasting, journalism and the future of the music industry.

For full details of trans 08, visit www.transbelfast.com

Tickets for trans events are available online, from the Waterfront Box Office and by calling 9033 4455.
