Photographer Darryl Mooney, who worked as a freelance for the ‘Mail’ in 2002, took two top accolades at the Press Photographer of the Year Awards. He was named Northern Ireland Provincial Photographer of the Year – the second year in succession he had won the trophy.

He also received a Merit Award for his outstanding work. Darryl received his awards at a gala dinner and awards ceremony in the Ramada Hotel in Belfast. He was delighted and privileged to have been honoured.
