Blood Brothers at Moyraverty

EIMEAR O'Neill will perform in the leading role of Mrs Johnstone in the forthcoming production of Blood Brothers by Moyraverty Arts and Drama Society.

Eimear, a Lismore pupil from Allenhill Park in Lurgan has delighted show producer Kieran Corr with her meteoric rise through the ranks within the drama society.

Kieran said: "The role of Mrs Johnstone is without doubt Eimear's biggest role to date with the drama society but one we feel that Eimear deserves following a very impressive audition.

"Eimear has performed as Mrs Potts for us in Beauty and The Beast and last year performed as Fantine in Les Miserables, both these roles showing off Eimear's singing ability.

"In fact Eimear is the current Craigavon and District senior Stars In Your Eyes champion, however, the role of Mrs Johnstone will be completely different for Eimear as she will have to show off her acting ability and master a Liverpool accent."

Blood Brothers tells the story of the Johnstone twins who were separated at birth.

Aaron Murphy, a former pupil of Lismore who graduated last year with a degree in drama, will perform as Micky Johnstone and Daniel May will perform as Edward Johnstone.

Nicola O'Hara who has also got a degree in drama will perform as Linda. The show will also feature Raymond Murray, who will perform as the narrator.

Raymond has also taken on the task of directing the show.

Blood Brothers will be performed three times in April opening on Friday 16 at 7.30pm, Saturday 17 at 8.45pm and closes on Sunday 18 at 8.45pm. Tickets are now on sale priced 5 from St Anthony's Centre or Print Business Supplies in North Street.
