Brand new single from Fiasco

GENERAL FIASCO start the new decade with a brand new single, their debut album and playing their biggest headline dates so far.

'Ever So Shy' is released on March 8 and the album 'Buildings' follows on the March 22.

A concert in the Mandela Hall on March 28 will launch the new long player.

Owen said: "We made an album without really being aware of it. We'd started recording demos with Neal (Calderwood). Then got talking with a few labels. We continued doing demos with Neal. Then Barny Barnicott (Arctic Monkeys, The Enemy) mixed the recordings and the next thing we had an album. It just happened. It wasn't like you'd expect having to spend a month in the studio or anything like that.

"The album is a representation of what we've been doing up to now."

'Buildings' melds rock and pop with their inimitable energy and kick-ass choruses and produces a thrilling 36 minute explosion of guitar-led cracking tunes.

They played at the HMV 'Next Big Thing' Festival alongside the likes of Marina and the Diamonds, You Me At Six, Ellie Goulding and Hadouken! in February. After the UK tour the band head straight out to the US to play the Belfast Rocks party at the SXSW Festival in Austin.

They played their biggest show at home in Ireland on Halloween when they headlined the 1,300 capacity Ulster Hall in Belfast.

General Fiasco kicked off 2010 by playing the first ever MTV presents show in Belfast on January 13 confirming this year will be just as busy.
