Chris thrills at Palomo

CHRIS Woods can make magic with his acoustic guitar. And he thrilled a packed Palomo on Saturday night.

His slap and strum style conjures the emotion of the tune played with passion and vibrancy

He has an eclectic style, sometimes almost Spanish guitar and then a jerky jazz feeling - each tune different and flavoured with his own brand of groove.

There was even a touch of mandolin mood and on other tunes he had a vibrant thrilling sound that made you want to dance.

My friend Orla summed it up: “The boy can play.”

He is certainly an exciting instrumentalist and not a bad raconteur also with a few great wee yarns shared throughout the evening.

Chris has a full Irish toured planed and I would thoroughly recommended checking him out. For more information go to www.chriswoodsgroove.co.uk
