MADS host summer scheme

MOYRAVERTY Arts and Drama Society will be hosting a week long summer scheme in performing arts which will end with a performance by all the participants.

The week-long event will start on Monday, August 16 and will culminate of Friday, August 20, with a live performance. The musical theatre scheme will start at 10am each day and end at 4pm - a total of six hours each day with a cost of 20 per person taking part.

It is open to anyone interested in performing arts, aged eight to 16 years old. There is a limited number of places available and the workshops will include singing, dancing and acting.

Centre manager Kieran Corr said: "We want to develop and expand existing dance, acting and dance skills of all the participants and for the young people to meet new friends and have lots of fun but also teach them discipline, hard work and also the opportunity to perform in a final showcase performance for the general public in just one week.

"We have got professional musical director Jonathan McGuinness, vocal coach Caitriona Corr and choreographer Emma Watson to be the team who will make sure that the week is both professional and enjoyable."

If you would like to take part in this performing arts Summer Scheme pick up an application form from St Anthony's Centre or contact 0775 446 1257 to book your place.
