Thomas plans new musical

A LOCAL theatre company have requested the help of the Lurgan public in putting together a new play based on 'The Troubles'.

Thomas Larkham from Centre Stage Performing Arts Academy is in the process of writing his own piece of musical theatre based on the conflict in Northern Ireland.

Thomas said: "Over the coming months I plan to conduct as much research on the topic as possible.

"I'd like to hear as many stories and first hand accounts from as many people as possible who were part of, and affected by, 'The Troubles'.

"I would like to hear from both sides of the community as it will give me a insight into how life was for both Protestant and Catholic people."

Contributors can email Thomas their stories to cspaa@hotmail.co.uk or if they have any queries regarding any of the above they can contact him on 0750 004 7277.

Any information passed to Thomas is purely for research purposes and the contents of all stories or accounts will only be viewed by Centre Stage Performing Arts Academy Production Team.

Meanwhile Centre Stage will be opening its doors again for new members in September following the huge success of Fame back in May of this year. There are many new projects in the pipeline for CSPAA in the near future and readers will be notified of registration days and workshops for anyone wishing to join.
