Recycle old TVs appeal

CRAIGAVON Borough Council is encouraging householders to recycle their old televisions following the completion of the digital switch-over.

On the advice of Digital UK many householders within Craigavon Borough Council upgraded their TV equipment in advance of this month’s switch-over to digital reception.

Chairperson of the council’s environmental services committee, Councillor Gemma McKenna has encouraged householders to recycle their old equipment. She said, “I would like to take this opportunity to remind people that they can recycle it for free by bringing it to either the Fairgreen or Newline amenity centres.”
