CROWDS blocked the street outside a Lurgan shop in 1967 just to get a look at a colour TV.
It became so bad that Union Street shop owner Joseph Patterson had to move it out of the direct vision of shoppers.
Joseph revealed that colour TV sets were in extremely short supply at the time.
“I have only this one and I am keeping it for demonstration purposes,” he said.
“But I could have sold it six times over. They are very scarce at the moment and until I get another I won’t be disposing of this one.”
The price of a 25 inch set at the time was about £320.
