The biggest event of the year at Tannaghmore Gardens and Animal Farm is just around the corner, so make sure you don’t miss out on the 20th annual Bird Fair on Saturday.

Thousands flock to this fun-filled event every year to see the variety of thrilling birds and gorgeous animals on show – from Polish hens and fawn Indian Runner ducks to fluffy Russian Sebastipol geese and guinea fowl you’ll be wowed by the selection of birds on display.

Taking place from 10am to 4pm, other exciting activities on the day will include the ever-popular Sheep Dog Display where you can watch these super smart dogs rounding up sheep, performing tricks and completing an obstacle
course.

The chainsaw carving, stick carving and archery display are always fun to watch or why not have a go on the climbing wall, blacksmithing or arts and
crafts?

In addition, all animal lovers out there can check out the piglets, kids, goats, lambs, cows, donkeys, ponies and rare breeds at the renowned Animal Farm, enjoy a puzzling afternoon getting lost in the maze and of course get active in the
play park.

Chair of the leisure services committee, Councillor Noel McGeown, comments, “The Bird Fair is a great day out for all the family.

“With a wide range of interesting birds to rare breeds on the Farm it’s a wonderful opportunity to see these great creatures first hand. Come along and join in
the fun.”

It costs just £5 per car. So come along, join in the fun and give the kids a last summer day out before the homework kicks
in again.
