ANYONE who worked in Ulster Laces, McGredy’s Roses or the Mayfair Manufacturing Company who would like a get together with old colleagues should read on.
Following on from the arts project of the same name, a book called “Roses, Lace and Lingerie” has been compiled charting people’s recollections of what it was like to work in those industries.
The book will be launched at the event on Friday, November 25, at 7pm in the Millennium Court Arts Centre, Portadown.
“People who worked in any of these factories are very welcome to come along,” said Chair of Leisure Services Committee, Alderman Meta Crozier, “as well those who were involved in the arts project.”
To register your interest in attending the event or request a copy of the publication please contact Emma Drury, Arts Development Officer on 028 3831 1680.
