POLICE are appealing for information following an assault in the William Street area of the town in the early hours of Monday.
At around 1am, a woman in her 20s was bitten in the face by another female.

The culprit is described as being 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build with shoulder length, straight ginger hair. She was wearing a navy polkadot dress with white spots.

Anyone who was in the area and who witnessed any suspicious activity is asked to contact police in Lurgan on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively, information can be given to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
