IT all went badly wrong for a would-be highway woman in the town centre last week.
The woman, according to an eyewitness, had tried to rob a man using one of the cash points in the town centre.

It would appear she had been waiting in the bank doorway while her victim made his withdrawal.

As he was sorting himself out she made a dash for the cash but her victim managed to snatch it back.

Matters were to get much worse for the 'lady' as she then made a bee-line for her waiting getaway car - but her partner in crime took off prematurely leaving her stranded in the middle of Market Street.

Unfortunately, she was able to show shocked witnesses a clean set of heels and remains at large!

The matter was reported to police but the injured party made no official complaint.
