THE Salvation Army in Lurgan and the Bridge Community Church are joining together this Sunday to present a special outdoor worship meeting with community barbecue
Outdoor Church will start at 5pm in Alexandra Square with worship lead by Lurgan Salvation Army band, drama from the young people and a timbrel display. A free BBQ will follow at 5:45pm in the Salvation Army Hall car park in Alexandra Crescent, conc
luding with a short epilogue and refreshments in the hall.

“We’re delighted to be joining with members of the Bridge Community Church and hope this event will encourage the public who don’t regularly attend church to come along and see what it’s all about. It will be a very informal and friendly afternoon. We’re looking forward to meeting people, to welcoming folk into our building, and providing a friendly and relaxed environment for people to meet each other and ask any questions they may have about Christianity and the gospel in general,“ explained Major Graham Wood who with his wife Keira are the officers in charge at The Salvation Army in Lurgan.

This event is part of the ‘Hope 08’ campaign, a UK wide Christian initiative encouraging churches of all types and traditions to work together and present Christianity in a real and meaningful way.

This Sunday has also been dedicated as ‘Back to Church Sunday’ where churches across the country are extending a welcome to new and old friends.

For further information on this event or any other activity please contact Graham on 3832 3222.
