THIS year's annual Taghnevan Mini Community Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 23-24.
A range of fun and sporting activities, which will coincide with the John Tennyson Memorial Tournament, have been organised by Taghnevan Community Development Association, St Paul's GFC and Taghnevan Youth & Community.

On Saturday morning, August 23, there will be an under 10 Gaelic tournament starting at 10am until 1pm. From 1pm to 5pm, there will be a range of activities in Taghnevan Youth Centre organised by the Members' Youth Group, staff and volunteers of Taghnevan Youth Centre. These will include a penalty competition, mini sports day, tug of war, images of Taghnevan art competition and a disco competition.

On Sunday, August 24, a children's fancy dress parade will leave Manor Park at 1pm and finishes at Taghnevan Youth & Community Centre, where more fun day activities will take place from 2pm to 5pm. An open air live concert beginning at 8pm will bring the festival to a close.
