ALL eyes were on the spec-tacular looking Lurgan girl at this weekend's Down Royal Ulster Derby.
Laura Gillespie, from New Street, stepped out in a vision of green in a dress by designer Karen Millen.

The 19-year-old stunned race-goers with her style and was named winner of the Specsavers Look Awards along with Donaghadee man Hans Arthur.

Laura wore a stylish pair of designer glasses to complement her outfit which helped her get the attention of judge, Jodi Albert, fiancee of Westlife’s Kian Egan.

She went along to the day with Eire Og as they celebrated their 40th anniversary, she plays for the ladies football team.

She is studying sports management at the Southern Regional College, Lurgan, and is a member of St Anthony’s drama group, MADS.

Laura won a bottle of champagne and £500 gift voucher for Una Roddin Couture, Belfast, she said: “It was a brilliant day and I really did not expect to win.

“It was a shock given all the beautiful dresses on display, but I’m looking forward to a big shopping spree in Belfast.”
