THE WARINGSTOWN Youth Club produced a special DVD to increase cultural awareness across Craigavon.
The Happy Project starring the youth group identified issues of racism within the community and the lack of knowledge of diversity throughout Craigavon. Leader Kenny Weir said it was an important issue to highlight the benefits of diversity for our society.

He said: “The kids planned the filming, shot the scenes and edited it all together, it helped raise awareness of cultural issues and also give them an insight into putting together a DVD.

“The project was a real success and thanks go to the Princess Trust for helping with equipment, Craigavon divisional youth, the council, all those who took part and the parents for their support. “We had a fun filled launch for the film with a barbecue, it was a real success.”

To increase cultural awareness the group is planning a trip away, Kenny hopes they will be able to go to eastern Europe later in the year.
