AROUND 1,000 visitors, both old and young, enjoyed the launch of Creative Craigavon at Craigavon Borough Council’s Brownlow Community Hub.
The project was fully booked and showcased a fantastic range of activities and exhibitions, including two choirs, a brass band and a strings band.
Other activities on offer were willow making, ceramics, pottery wheel, textiles, creative writing, portrait art, bubble art, a cinema room, camera club exhibition, screen printing, wax art, blacksmith demonstrations and dancing.
The project is a joint venture with the Council’s Arts Development Department, Arts in Motion and the Millennium Courts Arts Centre, aiming to promote the Arts in Craigavon.
The event was also a great opportunity to profile the Hub as a venue for activities.
Visitors were able to avail of a small café, provided by Lough Neagh Discovery Centre, and relax in the Main Hall whilst listening and watching the performers.
The Foyer, Training and Craft Room and Lounge were a buzz of activity with the various arts and crafts opportunities on offer.
