PUPILS at Lismore Comprehensive School produced an outstanding 100 per cent A level pass rate.
A total of 73 students at Lismore Comprehensive School sat 222 examinations in A Level this year in 23 subjects.

They recorded a 100% pass rate with 89% of the students gaining at least three passes in the A-E category, an increase of 6% on last
year’s figure.

The success rate of passes in the higher A-C categories was a very creditable 71%, an increase of 10% on last year’s achievement.

A number of students did exceptionally well, including Gavin McCluskey who gained four A grades and Alison Hanna who scored 3 As and one B grade.

Aisling McGibbon, Ryan McGurk, Clare McKeveney, Joseph Mulholland and Kirsty Reilly all achieved three A grades or better. A large number of other students gained two As and one B, or one A and two B grades.

Joe Corrigan, the school’s Principal expressed delight with the “A” Level results and complimented the students on some very pleasing performances.

“We take great pleasure from seeing our students rewarded for their hard work and commitment over the last two year’s,” he said. “There were some outstanding individual performances this year.

"Our results are excellent for a non-selective school with a very wide ability range. I would like to thank our dedicated teaching and support staff, and our parents for their assistance in ensuring that our students are now very well placed to take their next step in their ongoing educational journey. I wish them all the very best of luck."
