MORE jobs are set to go in the Lurgan area this week.
Staff at the Crossbows Optical factory were informed last week of compulsory redundancies and were due to be informed yesterday (Wednesday) of who was to go.

It is thought ten people were to be handed their redundancy notice.

Staff in the factory have expressed their fears that the plant may not survive the global financial crisis and they could all be let go in the near future.

The factory, formerly of the Avenue Road, manufactures ophthalmic moulds for spectacle lenses and also develops freeform software. It employs around 100 people.

The company was approached for comment but no one could be reached.
