Celebrating at St Michael's

STAFF and pupils at St Michael's are celebrating another year of successful examination results at AS and A2 levels.
A Level students achieved pass grades in over 99% of their examinations with a significant rise in the number of A grades achieved. Nineteen students achieved three or more ‘A’ grades in all exams.

These top achievers were: Jade Alexander, Paul
Hughes, Ciara Kearney, Claire Kelly, Andrew Lavery, Fiona McCann, Ryan McCann, Jayne McCrory, Claire McGeown, Sinead McNally, Jonathan Mitchell, Emma Moore, Helen Murphy, Michael Murray, Catriona Nugent, Laura O’Connor, Laura O’Hagan, Roisin Toal and Rachel Wilson.

Principla Mr gerard Adams said: "This year we are particularly pleased for Laura O’Connor who has been admitted to Oxford University and for Helen Murphy who has been successful in her wish to get to Cambridge. We wish them both continuing success."

High levels of achievement were also maintained at AS level with a 98% pass rate in all examinations taken, with sixteen students achieving ‘A’ grades in at least three subjects.

They were: Ciara Crothers, Julie Hanna, Sarah Nelson, Brigid Shine, Sarah Spence, Stephen Maxwell, Niamh McGivern, Maeve McQuillan, Ruairi Thornbury, Cliodhna McDaid, Rosa Downing, Niamh Greene, Michael Lavery, Ryan McConville, Jonathan Murray and Shauneen Willis.

Mr adam said: "Once again we are delighted at the high levels of success achieved and are confident that our Year 14 students are leaving St. Michael’s well prepared for the challenges of employment or further study and our Year 13 students are embarking on their final year of schooling safe in the knowledge that they and their teachers have laid a solid foundation for continuing success next year."
