FOUR men have been arrested in police raids against dissident republicans in Lurgan.
The arrests were made after searches in a number of homes. It is thought the raids were targeted at the Continuity IRA.

Searches were conducted in the Kilwilke, Drumbeg and O'Neill's Lane areas.

The men have been taken to Antrim police station.

A police spokesman said the searches were part of a major anti terrorist operation.

Earlier this week, Chief Constable Sir Hugh Orde warned the threat from dissident republicans was at its highest level for several years.
