MOURNEVIEW residents have been urged not to dump their rubbish at the bonfire site.
The community association has arranged for three skips to be delivered in the estate next Thursday (July 2) for residents to dump their household goods.

The skips will be at Russell Drive, Mourne Road and close to the bonfire site at Spelga Park.

Michelle Hanlon of Mourneview Community Association said: “Any household furniture that’s to be dumped, do it in these skips, not at the bonfire. We don’t want Mourneview turning into a tip.

“There’s been furniture and other household rubbish dumped up at the bonfire site and council have warned if they catch anyone they’ll be prosecuted for fly tipping.”

She added: “That’s why we’re getting the skips. If people can please wait until they get here to dump their rubbish it would be much appreciated.”
