Magheralin Parish Halls are playing host to an Evening of Remembrance next week.
The evening takes place on Wednesday, November 5, at 7.30pm.
The event will feature an exhibition of WW1 memorabilia.
The community will sing along to war time songs and hymns, ‘It’s along way to Tipperary’ etc.
There will a Presentation of the Gospel: “Onward Christian Soldiers? What place did faith have in World War One?” focusing mainly on the Pocket Pictorial Gospel of St John “Active Service” 1914-1918.
A copy of the 100th Anniversary edition of St John’s Gospel will be given to each person attending the event.
A special drama production will be performed by The Ancre Somme Association.
The Last Post will be played at the close of evening to remember all those who lost their lives during World War 1.
Refreshments will be provided.
