Police in Lurgan have questioned two juveniles about damage caused in the grounds of Ceara School.

Thousands of pounds of damage was caused to the school on Tuesday night when a six tonne truck was stolen and driven around the grounds.

Both boys will be reported to the Public Prosecution Service with a view to prosecution, said the PSNI.

“The building works ongoing at the school have been significantly impacted by this incident and may have a detrimental effect on the valuable service this school provides for vulnerable children in the wider Craigavon area,” said a police spokesperson.

“We would encourage those residents who live in the vicinity of school premises, where they see or hear anything which they deem to be suspicious to ring on Police on 0845 600 8000.”
