Entrepreneur Ruth Wilson of Moira-based Beaufort Interiors and Anne Murphy, Delegate Recruitment, are reminding the business community across Ireland, the UK and beyond to ‘book Belfast’ as their destination for networking this year, as the city gears up to host its first International Business Women’s Conference (IBWC 2014) in May.

Their advice is also to ‘book early’ – as a special early bird booking rate is running until the end of January via www.ibwc2014.com

Led by Women in Business NI, ‘IBWC 2014: Creating a New Economy’ is aimed at building international business connections and will feature a diverse mix of business, panel and social sessions at venues across the city including The Waterfront Hall, City Hall and Titanic Belfast, as well as addresses from high profile keynote speakers.

Roseann Kelly, Chief Executive of Women in Business NI said, “IBWC 2014 will bring together women and men from across the globe to Belfast between 12th and 15th May for a unique opportunity to explore international issues, to be inspired by world class business leaders and to create meaningful partnerships.

“It will also shine the light on Northern Ireland’s pool of exceptional business talent. Anne Murphy of Delegate Recruitment won the Women in Business NI Award in 2013 for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, whilst Ruth Wilson was named Best Exporter. Their businesses are shining examples of the fantastic contribution women make to the Northern Ireland economy and as entrepreneurship, innovation and exports represent core themes for our conference, we are delighted that local role models such as Anne and Ruth are actingas ambassadors for this
event.”

IBWC 2014 is already supported by Invest Northern Ireland, Belfast City Council, Northern Ireland Tourist Board, Visit Belfast (through the Conference Subvention Fund), Ulster Bank and NYSE Euronext.

Anne Murphy, Delegate Recruitment said, “IBWC 2014 is an exciting addition to the Northern Ireland business calendar. To have the opportunity to network with international business leaders, peers and role models on home ground will be hugely valuable and something Belfast can be very proud of. I would encourage everyone in the business community to be part of it.”

Confirmed IBWC 2014 speakers include, among others: Helena Morrissey CBE, founder, Thirty Per Cent Club and CEO, Newton Investment Management, Dr Anita Sands former Group Managing Director of UBS and Member of Global Irish Network, Les McKeown, CEO, Predictable Success, Lucy Gaffney, Chair, Communicorp Group, Julie Meyer, Founder, Ariadne Capital, Ann Francke, CEO, Chartered Management Institute’
