Cinemagic has launched its annual call for young film enthusiasts to take on the role of ‘film consultants’ in July (26-31) and help select and programme a series of films for the Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival programme for Young People that takes place in Belfast from October 9 - November 4.

The Festival will include new film screenings from around the world, filmmaking workshops, competitions, masterclasses and exciting film education events for young people.

The participants in the young consultants programme in association with Gentle Dental Care, will work with the Cinemagic team in Belfast to help steer the choice of films for the Festival, as they watch and critique films from around the globe!

If you are a budding film critic who would enjoy the opportunity to spend time with Cinemagic, this is a fantastic opportunity to meet other likeminded young people and have fun deciding the content of the largest film festival for young people in the UK and Ireland.

Young people aged 8-11, 12-14 and 15-18 with a keen interest in film and the enthusiasm to discuss and debate within a group should register by downloading the registration form on www.cinemagic.org.uk and post it to Cinemagic, Young Consultants, 49 Botanic Avenue, Belfast, BT7 1JL or email claire@cinemagic.org.uk by July 17.

Young consultants will meet on the following dates in Queen’s Film Theatre, University Square Belfast, as per age category and participants must be available for both dates in their group.

The cost to participate is £10 per person.
