Elderly man threatened with screwdriver

An elderly man was threatened with a screwdriver when three burglars were discovered in his relative’s home.

At around 9.45pm last night (Thursday April 3) an elderly man returned to his Dollingstown home with a male relative to find three men in his house.

“There was an altercation and the male relative was threatened with a screwdriver by one of the three males before they made off in a black car. The two elderly men were not injured in the incident,” said a PSNI spokesperson.

One of the three men is described as being approximately 6ft tall with a round face. The other two men are described as being smaller, slimmer and both aged in their 20s.
