TWO 23-year-old men have been charged after a car stereo was stolen from a vehicle at a Craigavon Hospital car park.
One was charged with aiding and abetting theft, driving while disqualified, possession of ammunition in suspicious circumstances, taking a car without authority and no insurance.
The second was charged with attempting to take a motor vehicle, criminal damage, possession of ammunition in suspicious circumstances, possession of an article with a blade and theft.
Both males appeared before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on 22 August.
It followed reports at 6.20pm on Tuesday August 21 that a white Peugeot car was broken into at the hospital. Police responded immediately and the police helicopter was tasked.
A black BMW car was stopped in the Bridge Street area of Portadown and a car stereo recovered from the vehicle.
