THE application deadlines for Power NI’s new energy saving competition, Quest, is fast approaching with the final day for submission on March 31.

Quest is a bespoke ten-step energy saving programme where six community groups, clubs or voluntary organisations from across Northern Ireland will compete against each other.

The first group to reach the 10th step will win £10,000 to invest in renewable technologies for their local area.

The competition will start on May 1 and six groups will begin the race together. They will also receive funding from Power NI throughout the challenge.

The groups will work closely with a Power NI mentor who will show them the benefits of energy efficiency and the difference it can make to a community.

Power NI’s project coordinator Neil Coleman said: ‘‘The deadline for Quest applications is coming very soon so we want everyone to get involved and apply as soon as possible.”
