Defendant fighting in street in Portadown

A Lurgan man who was fighting in the street was fined £200 last Friday at Craigavon Court for disorderly behaviour on March 22.

The court heard that police had to deal with a disturbance in Mandeville Street, Portadown.

The defendant, Christopher Paul Glenn Creaney (24), Loughview Manor, Lurgan. assaulted another person who declined to make a formal statement of complaint. Creaney was unsteady on his feet.

Mr Peter Murphy, representing the defendant, said that since the incident Creaney had stayed off alcohol completely.

Deputy District Judge Joe Rice said a pre-sentence report was heartening and said he hoped he would stay out of trouble.
