Didn’t know his insurance cancelled
A 42 year old man did not know his insurance had been cancelled until he went to download it to show to police.
Gary Robinson, Bluestone Hall, Craigavon, was fined £250, given six points for driving without insurance on January 26 this year.
He was stopped at 3.20am on the Mourne Road and checks showed there was no current insurance policy. The defendant later attended at Lurgan police station and admitted he did not have a valid certificate.
Robinson, who pleaded guilty, said he had an insurance policy but the previous month a payment had been missed, he was unaware of that until he tried to download the policy.
