UPPER Bann MP David Simpson has presented 50 personal alarms to Drop Inn Ministries in Upper Bann.
Making the presentation to Sharon Jones, a member of Drop Inn Ministries staff who was assaulted recently David Simpson said:
“Drop Inn Ministries does a tremendous job working in countries as far apart as Haiti in the Caribbean, Brazil and Venezuela in South America, through to Kenya, Ghana, Rwanda and Burkina Faso in Africa, and also in India, Cambodia and parts of Eastern Europe such as Latvia, Albania, Belarus and Ukraine.
“Sharon’s recent assault was a sharp reminder of the risks that people sometimes face in the working day. So I wanted to get these personal alarms in order that they could be distributed to staff and also to vulnerable people.
“I want to wish Sharon and everyone involved in Drop Inn Ministries every success and blessing for the future.”
