BROWNLOW Integrated College celebrated 20 years of integration with a commemorative dinner at the Seagoe Hotel last Friday.
Pupils and staff both past and present gathered together to celebrate the action taken in building a diverse education in Craigavon.
Vice Principal, Andrew Downard praised the work of their pupils in “being brave and different”.
He further stated how, “a relaxed attitude is taken and now worries of religion is not an issue.”
Former principal Erroll Lemon described the transformation as, “a long drawn out process, but there was a lot of support through the school staff in making Brownlow the first in it’s kind. Northern Ireland’s first existing school to transform under legislation.”
As integration continues to flourish, Brownlow Integrated College aims for belief in creative and diverse education in Craigavon.
