RECENT high levels of performance by St Michael’s A level students were mirrored in the GCSE results which showed another rise in the number of top grades awarded to students in Year 12.

Top performers were Niamh McConville and Francesca Alexander with 8 A* and one A grade each, followed closely by the top performing male student, Shea Heffron, with 7 A* and 2 A grades.

Others in the year group who achieved a range of top grades included Adam Bunting, Lauren Campbell, Ciara Cavanagh, Maeve Gordon, Ciara Harvey, Nuala McMahon, Bronach McNally, Sinead McVeigh, Anne-Marie Mulholland, Maeve Mulholland and Joe Mulholland.

The Principal, Mr Gerard Adams, said that staff were delighted with the performances of students which laid an excellent foundation for future success during their A Level courses over the next two years.

He congratulated all of the students and wished them well in their future studies.
