Staff at House of Sport are getting ready for September, with the store now stocking a range of school uniforms.

Despite the store’s name, House of Sport has broadened its stock from sports clothing and equipment to offer customers a new go-to supplier ahead of the school term.

The store began selling school uniforms last year, but have now expanded their range to cater for eight schools.

“Last year we stocked St Anthony’s and some Lismore items,” explained Padraic McKeever, who is the overall Managing Director of Sports Merchandising Ireland - which incorporates House of Sport.

“We waited until the St Ronan’s amalgamation before we stocked any others. We stock eight schools at the minute - St Ronan’s, Lismore Comprehensive School, St Anthony’s, St Francis, PIPS, Tullygally, Tannaghmore and St Brendan’s. We plan to roll this out in the next few years and include more schools in the local area.”

In addition to key pieces of each school’s uniform, the store stocks accessories and all of those little ‘add-ons’.

“We supply the PE kit for primary schools, and St Ronan’s, directly through the school - with their newly designed PE uniform,” Padriac said. “We have a wide range of school rucksacks and bags available from Under Armour, Puma, Nike, Ridge 53, Adidas - and customers will enjoy 10% off any bag they buy in store when they purchase school uniform. We also sell a wide range of running and training footwear, and football boots at excellent prices.”

House of Sport, which is located on the Gilpinstown Road in Lurgan, is managed by Stephen Nugent - and staff are committed to offering great service to customers.

“The aim of House of Sport is to provide a high level of service and product knowledge to the customer,” Padraic shared.

“We pride ourselves in stocking a wide range of high quality products for many sports at keen prices. House of Sport recently became a member of the Intersport Group, whose motto is ‘Sport for the people’. We therefore plan to provide the best sports and school uniform shop in the region for our growing customer base over the coming years.”
