Lurgan girl Ellen Creaney, an A-Level student at St Michael’s Grammar School, has landed the lead female role in the next production put on by Moyraverty Arts and Drama Society.
Ellen who has performed in various shows for the society such as Grease, The Sound of Music, Footloose and The Phantom of the Opera will perform as Debs the leading lady in Boogie Nights: The Seventies Musical.
According to MADS Ellen has come through the ranks and deserves the opportunity to perform in this principal part.
Boogie Nights: The Seventies Musical is a celebration of life in a decade where even the trousers had flare.
The show takes to the stage in April and the society has opened its doors for new members to come along and join the cast.
The final chance for anyone aged 15+ or who is in year 11 in secondary school and over is this Sunday at 6pm at St Anthony’s Centre.
A spokesperson for the society said: “Boogie Nights: The Seventies musical is a great fun show to be involved in.
“We especially need a few more male members to join the cast for this show but everyone who is interested is more than welcome to come along this Sunday evening and join the cast.
“After Boogie Nights we will be auditioning and casting for our summer show this year which will be Les Miserables: School Edition which is for anyone aged 19 and under.”
