AS part of its programme of roads maintenance, Roads Service is currently carrying out a contract to strengthen and resurface part of the A3 Belfast Road between Magheralin and Moira.
In order to reduce the overall time taken to complete the works on this busy road and to comply with health and safety regulations it will be necessary to have a road closure from the New Forge Road junction in Magheralin to the roundabout at Main Street, Moira from Thursday, August 4, until Wednesday, August 11, inclusive.
During this period traffic will be diverted via Belfast Road, Avenue Road, Queen Street, Malcolm Road, Russell Drive, Sloan Street, Edward Street, Francis Street, Silverwood Road, Kiln Road, Lough Road, M1 from Lurgan to Moira, Lisburn Road and Main Street, Moira.
Traffic travelling from the general areas of Lurgan and Banbridge to the International Airport at Aldergrove should be aware that delays can be expected on the diversion route and should allow additional time for their journey or consider using an alternative route.
Roads Service apologises to road users for the unavoidable disruption to traffic while the road improvements are carried out.
