Marie Curie raise £474,000in past decade

The Craigavon fundraising group for Marie Curie have celebrated their 10th anniversary.

To date, they have raised an amazing £474,355.92 through quizzes, walks, Great Daffodil collections and Christmas and other collections. This year they were the top group in Northern Ireland and fourth in the UK for Great Daffodil Collections, raising £12,797.14.

Their next fundraising initiative is the Scarva Stroll on Saturday (June 4) along the canal path. The group has thanked the collectors, stores and the public for making this possible.

A big thank you to individuals, clubs and businesses who fundraised for Marie Curie and presented their proceeds to the local group.

The group’s mission is to raise money to provide care for people living with a terminal illness while raising the profile of the charity .
