Four on drugs charges after police stop cars

Four people were scheduled to appear in court at the weekend on drugs charges after police stopped two cars in Portadown last Thursday evening.

A 20-year-old woman and two men, aged 26 and 40, were charged with a number of offences including being concerned in supply of class B controlled drug.

They were due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

A 39-year-old woman was charged with a number of offences including being concerned in supply of Class B controlled drug and was due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

The four were arrested on Thursday night by detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch who seized a quantity of suspected Class B controlled drugs and cash.
